oh, what to do

Hi

Here is the scene

It’s the opening hand of the world series of poker $10,000 entry and you have promised yourself that you would make day 2 at all-costs, i.e. play super-tight & super-aggressive

You are on the big blind and there are 10 players at the table, with 2 small blinds, i.e. 25 / 25 / 50

You have been dealt 5-2 spades and there are 8 callers for the 50 including the 2 small blinds

You decide to take the pot of 450 and raise 550 veryconfidently

1st to speak calls without hesitation as does the internet player in the 6th seat, everyone else folds

Lord above, but the flop comes 2h-5h-5d, a miracle-flop making you a nice little house

Question 1:

Do you

a. fold
b. bet all-in
c. check
d. bet the pot

a.folding is not really an option

b. all-in would probably tell them that you had made a poker of 5’s or house of 2’s or set of 5’s with an ace kicker so you shy away from the all-in

c. you could check and induce a bet and come over the top with a massive re-raise

d.you could bet about 2000, which is about the same as the pot by now at 1950, this might scare off your customers but it could tell youwhere you are in relation to their hands, probably a mile in front and so far ahead that they muck their cards regardless of what they have, even AA, especially as it’s the 1st hand
I mean, how could they put you on 5-2 when you raised pre-flop? They have you down as a mid to high pair or A-K.

Naturally you want to induce a lot of betting and get themax chips so you check, with the intention of re-raising, the answer is ? C ? MOST LIKELY

Here is what transpired:

The 1st to speak smirks and goes all-in, Mr.Internet in 6th position doesn’t even hesitate for a second and practically has his chips in the pot before the 1st guy has time toget his in there,

So here is the next question:

Question 2.
What do you do?

a. Have you enough discipline to fold? After all they must have at least AA or KK or A-5 or A-3/4 hearts for a straight flush draw or indeed any over pair which could make them a higher house if they hit

b. Call immediately, since you know you have the best hand so far and hope they don’t get lucky

c. Pretend you have had a heart attack and hope that they expose their cards in the confusion

d. wait for 4/5 minutes just to make sure that you don’t have the distinct pleasure of being 1st out of the world series and make your opponents sweat it out before calling
before you answer, think, do you really wanna go home after 1 hand?????
My preference is D, I don’t have any discipline and I aint folding a boat to 2 guys that obviously have over pairs or A-K, and may even be beating each other up with similar hands
Here is question 3:
What hands do you think the opponents had?

a. They both have the A-A
b. They both have over-pairs, K-K & Q-Q or A-K EACH
c. One has AA and the other has A-5 suited or Ace high flush draw
d. 1st to speak has A-J hearts and Mr. Internet has 3-4 hearts

They both have A-A which is just incredible and 4thstreet is the 3 of hearts, which cause me a minor stroke, since he now Mr. Bloody internet has the straight flush draw

Thank God for a dealer from heaven, 5th street is the 9 of clubs

Answers on a Twenty-five Euro note please
