International Poker Open

With months of preparation, hundreds of hours of work, sweat and tears and a whole lot of support from players and tournament organisers around the country we managed to achieve a field of 1,072 participants (smashing the European record) for the first ever International Poker Open

With players travelling from all corners of the world to take part we knew we had to make this tournament something special. For a €25 registration fee (players paid a total of €150 with €125 going into the prize-pool) we had to keep our costs as low as possible. Luckily through our contacts and training sessions (which we ran for 6 months in the lead up to the event) we had a really great team of staff working with us on the day.

Of course things were very hectic from the start but as tables began to break down and the field began to thin out we were very happy to be a part of the whole project. Of course there is plenty to improve upon for next year but we hope that all players that took part had a fantastic time. One hundred and ten players made it into the money to show a clear profit for their efforts but we would like to thank each and every participant and we very much hope that you will make the effort to play in our next big event;
