Before the main event has even started there have been two Irish winners at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Ciaran O'Leary, from Cork won over $700,000 in a preliminary no-limit hold'em event and Alan Smurfit has taken down the $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha Re-Buy Event for a pay day of $465,000. Both players have achieved something that many professionals would die for, a WSOP winner's bracelet.
